Apollo

Summary

Son of Jupiter and Latona and twin brother of Diana, Apollo was a Greco-Roman prophetic deity. He was the national divinity of the Greeks and played an important role in Greco-Roman religion and mythology. He is the god of medicine and healing, archery, prophesies, sailors and seafarers, shepherds, music, poetry, dance, and the sun. He was also portrayed as the ideal male youth, a symbol of athleticism and beauty.
